Sacred Stones[]
Lute lives in a town in the Za'ha Woods. As the woods are under attack, she decides to join Eirika's army and help banish them. She then, like most units in the series, remains silent throughout the rest of the main story.
Anyway, she appears to know Artur already - which is confirmed in their supports - and most of her supports pertain to her discussing her superiority with others. At least, that would be all to her if she were a 3DS character, but as it is, the only support where she's like that throughout is Knoll's. Through Artur's supports, you learn that she knows everything she does from books and is interested in research, which is the reason for her poor social skills. Through Kyle's, you learn that she doesn't have much in the way of hobbies sans monk-watching and cooking - both of which are also referenced in Ross'. Through Ross', you learn that Lute grew up with her grandmother and get hints that she's used to being bullied. Through Vanessa's, you learn that she despite all of her studying and research, there's still much she isn't knowledgeable of. And you get a bunch of other tiny traits, such as trying to share trivia, sprinkled throughout. Basically Lute's more complex than she lets on.
In her endings, she'll start exploring the outside world more, marry Artur, or marry Kyle (which horrifies his friends). In her latter two endings, she'll have a son who's hinted to be rather similar to her.
Oh, and if you go back to her village at any point in the main story, it's been destroyed. Yeah.
Heroes[]
Lute was added due to her high placement in the CYL poll, along with Joshua, Mia, and Dorcas. Unlike those three, she's heavily outcled by other blue mages already in the game. Her niche isn't even as good as Arvis'. Also, her art's a little off for the character, and they turned her into someone smug instead of the mage in the original who treated her superiority as fact.
Still, at least we have her!

Lute's a rather interesting character. Quite a few of her fans will swear she's popular because of how she's written in Sacred Stones. Others won't try to hide it: memes.
You see, xX_Loot_Xx is actually an MLG pro, and there are no doubts in anyone's mind that the reason she's become more popular is memes.
