That's the actual Duck Hunt stage!
Duck Hunt is Duck Hunt's home stage from Duck Hunt in Super Duck Hunt for Duck Hunt. For some reason, like Wii Fit Studio, it isn't on 3DS, even though Mega Man, Little Mac, and Shulk all have their stages on 3DS too. It doesn't even seem like it would be too bad graphically. I mean, it's supposed to be NES graphics, that doesn't seem too bad. As a result, most people thought that Duck Hunt, like R.O.B., just wouldn't have a stage, but were surprised to see one in Duck Hunt's reveal trailer. In Duck Hunt, you can Hunt Ducks as the Duck Hunt dog watches. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the Duck Hunt dog. He's on this stage, even though he's also a character. I guess Duck Hunt is deconfirmed, guys. You better Hunt Ducks, though, or the Duck Hunt Ducks will fly away and the Duck Hunt dog will laugh at you. Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo.
Also, this stage is in fullscreen, surrounded by black bars. If you knock someone out of the screen, they'll keep flying away past the black! Well, I guess this YouTube poop is now canon. So Gendo really is a jerk, guys. It's confirmed.
As of September 30, 2015, this stage is free DLC for the 3DS version. Probably because Pirate Ship wouldn't work out on the 3DS, thanks to the Melee water physics, and they still wanted to give 3DS owners a stage.
