Elma is considered to be the main protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles X. It could also be Cross, but Cross is barely a character and no one likes them.
Reasons For Speculation[]
Elma is considered a likely newcomer by some for several reasons. She wields guns and pilots a skell, so naturally that means that when Sakurai bought a Vifam figure, it was because she is going to be playable. In addition, her game released in 2015, the same year that the project proposal for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was created. She may also be included due to Sakurai bias. She is more likely than Rex, because Rex is too new.
